The Challenge:
Loughborough University, like the entire UK sector, faces a crisis of public perception and sustainability. We are challenged by a hostile narrative that questions the value and purpose of higher education, coupled with a broken funding models in which income per student is at a 25-year low.
Damaging government policies on-top of the growing concerns amplify the gorwing pains to universities in the united Kingdom. With vital international talent being lost to short-term policies in government. The results for many I spoke to many on campus, most of which, long term staff in loughborough a finical instability that they had never seen before prior.
Our Solution:
Our solution is to proactively seize and reshape the narrative. No one person has the answer to this ever changing issue but Loughborough University takes a brave stance by positioning itself as a leader in research and championing international relations for betterment of our world.
The Manifesto
By showcasing our undeniable impact by telling powerful stories of innovation, like the mOm Incubator saving infant lives in Ukraine and the Aftrak project transforming agriculture in Africa. We champion our economic contributions and lead through strategic partnerships with other universities.By demonstrating our tangible value to individuals, the UK economy, and global society, we prove that our work is essential and that the world can’t wait for the solutions we provide.
